Update: I’m joining a startup — here’s why

This week I officially left my job at Givex and joined a startup 😱. I’m excited to say I’ve joined Finimize, where I’ll be Head of Product and work with the founding team to help bridge the gap between our generation and its finances.

Q: Why the switch?

In a simplistic explanation: to take a risk.

I’ve had an amazing 3 years at Givex — it was a great place to work and allowed me to get my hands on a number of different projects (👏 thanks to everyone I worked with) — but, ultimately, the chance to help build something from scratch drew me away.

Q: Why Finimize?

50% of Millennials currently keep their assets in cash and 71% would rather go to the dentist than deal with their bank — clearly there’s a big problem.

But the truth is, finance isn’t 🚀 science.

By handling finance in a way that’s engaging, understandable, and relatable there’s a chance to empower people with the ability to make more informed decisions when it comes to their money. It’s a lofty goal, but I’m excited by the opportunity.
